Indigenous Intercultural Exchange

Host a Demonstration or Workshop!
Axé Capoeira Comox Valley provides educational workshops for the community as well as demonstrations, shows or interactive shows/workshops. We can work with your vision towards the workshop or demo you need for your event or school. The Comox Valley chapter has extensive experience giving workshops in high schools and elementary schools on the island and the kids just love the movement while learning about history, music, and the essentials of the martial art. We have performed at big events such as the Nanaimo Dragon boat Festival and Infringing Dance Society, the Black Creek Fall Fair, and have provided many workshops for Schools throughout the Comox Valley and Campbell River. We can provide Professional dancers and acrobatics as well as musical entertainment for special events. We do need appropriate time to schedule in a show or workshop and details are needed in advanced and we always appreciate a chat on the phone just to confirm details before we arrive.

Grupo Axé Capoeira North Island performance troupe.
Our performance group can present demonstrations, give educational workshops and entertain at a variety of different venues. Summer Day Camps for 2023 will be announced in Spring!!!
In our summer camps we can really get deep into our capoeira learning with warm up games and exercises each morning as well as Capoeira technique and music. Each afternoon we will do a fun activity like swimming at the Lewis Center outdoor Pool, scavenger hunts, water fights, outdoor games in the park and so much more!
These camps are very popular so sign up soon so you don't miss out!!!! You can choose your dates and drop ins are welcome!
